The Apple Watch as a most popular smartwatch. Many people want to have one. And now it is about to announce a follow up, and moreover, it is believed that the announcement will be made this month.
The latest rumors suggest that Apple will be hosting an event on March 15 where the company will allegedly announce the iPad Air 3, a 4-inch iPhone called the iPhone 5se, and new Apple Watch bands. However, it was claimed that the event has been pushed back and will now take place on March 21, and along with the aforementioned devices and Apple Watch bands, it was rumored that the Apple Watch 2 might also be announced at the said event.
Speculation about the Apple Watch 2 started circulating over the recent months, as the device is said to have updated features such as a front-facing camera, which will enable users to make and receive video calls. The camera will reportedly be placed in the top bezel of the smartwatch. Theories about a camera coming to the Apple Watch 2 have been supported by reports that the WatchOS 2 will be coming this year as an update for the current device, which will make Facetime audio calls available on the smartwatch.
The Apple Watch 2 is said to have more functionality when used independently from an iPhone as Apple reportedly intends to integrate a new and more dynamic wireless chipset into the wearable device. The smartwatch is also rumored to have an improved battery life, and it is expected to be launched in new variations made with titanium, tungsten, palladium, and platinum.
It is believed that the Apple Watch 2 will be making its debut sometime this year, possibly by September 2016.
