A classic among Hublot’s classics, the Classic Fusion collection nevertheless continues to push the envelope even if, when it was launched at Baselworld in 2010, five years after the audacious Big Bang, it was specifically designed to be conservative. The concept of fusion, an important idea for the company, brings contemporary materials such as ceramic and titanium to these models inspired by Hublot’s very first watches from the 1980s. Today, the rounded case and protruding screws around the bezel are still there, but over the years the Classic Fusion, which remains Hublot’s most restrained model, has become even more subtly elegant and sophisticated.

Its 42 mm diameter titanium case marries polished and satin-brushed surfaces to create an elegant and sporty look, further enhanced by the six screws in an H formation around the bezel. The watch is water-resistant to 50 metres, and has an understated and highly readable blue satin-brushed sunray dial with simple baton indices and faceted hands, along with a discreet date window at 3 o’clock. The surprise lies in the figure 16 at 4 o’clock. This is the unique detail inserted to celebrate WorldTempus’s 16th anniversary.
