The highlight race of the 168th Prix de Diane Longines was marked by the victory of Senga ridden by Stéphane Pasquier on Sunday 18 June. In front of the tens of thousands spectators at the Chantilly racecourse, the pair won the Prix de Diane Longines, the world’s top race for fillies, which the Swiss watchmaker has been timing since 2010. This victory was celebrated by the watchmaker, the Title Partner, Official Timekeeper and Watch of the event, who had a Longines watch handed by its Ambassador of Elegance and alpine skiing champion Mikaela Shiffrin to Senga’s owner, trainer and jockey.

Moreover, the ambassador granted the new blue lady model of The Longines Master Collection, the Official Watch of the event, to the most elegant female racegoer, Marih-Sara Ennceiri, as the “Mademoiselle Diane par Longines” prize. The stainless steel lady model displays a sunray blue dial with diamond indexes matching its blue alligator strap, and houses an automatic movement. Centuries of watchmaking expertise stand behind this collection. Its timepieces are notable as much for their intrinsic quality as for their style made up of balanced designs. Besides, the watch brand organized a launch party for this new model in the French capital on Saturday 17 June.

Prix de Diane Longines 2017

This year, the program of the Prix de Diane Longines expanded and also took place on Saturday 17 June. Thus, on Saturday, the south-african jockey Mpumelelo Mjoka’s talent allowed him to win aboard Beaupreau the Prix Longines Future Racing Stars. The lady jockey Diana Lopez Leret and Beruska also crossed first the finishing line of the Prix de La Reine Marie-Amélie Longines. These two races put in the spotlight the remarkable skills of young jockeys from all around the world and the lady riders of the International Federation of Gentlemen and Lady Riders (FEGENTRI), of which the Swiss brand is the Official Partner and Watch. The brand had thus the honor to award both winners a Longines watch as well as a school bursary to the youngest winner.
