If you’re in Milan or going to the Lombardy capital for that Expo 2015, “The Mastery of your time” is really a not-to-be-skipped exhibition which traces a brief history of your time measurement from the roots to the current day.

Curated through the Fondation p la Haute Horlogerie, the exhibition is happening in Milan within the historic Ambrosian Library in Milan, a remarkable building, established in early seventeenth century which houses the Codex Atlanticus of Leonardo Da Vinci, an accumulation of some 1,100 pages bearing scientific and technical sketches through the celebrated Renaissance genius.

90 representational pieces describe the succession of technological and scientific discoveries that brought to the present perception of precision inside a path where science frequently combined to pure expressions of art and craftmanship.

This exhibition takes root within the eponymous book by Dominique Fléchon, and historian in the Fondation p la Haute Horlogerie. First released in French this year, this 456 pages hardcover book with 300 illustrations has since been converted into British and Chinese. The big event coincides using the presentation from the Italian version.

“The Mastery of your timeInch originates in six sections that recount advances made because the first models of measure, imagined through the Babylonians, to contemporary technical and precious fine watches. The six sections make up the structure from the exhibition in Milan.

Showed within the same Federiciana Hall, site visitors also potentially have to admire the famous “Canestra di frutta” oil painting by Caravaggio.
