Founded by Ulysse Nardin in 1846, the eponymous brand capitalised on the popularity of marine chronometers for precision navigation in the golden age of seaborne travel before the advent of the aeroplane. Ever since, this specialisation has become part of the company’s DNA and remains prevalent in the brand today.

The 42.2 mm diameter watch is powered the self-winding UN-320 manufacture movement, which integrates silicium technology. The timepiece has as well under- gone the stringent Ulysse Nardin certification process.

A magnified date at 3 o’clock can be quickly set both forwards and backwards – Ulysse Nardin mechanical innovation at its best. And the Diver Le Locle is a diving watch to its core, as the legible Super Luminova indexes, uni- directional bezel and 100 m water-resistance can attest.

It’s a diver in the details as well: the case-back reveals a unique engraving of a diver in the depths of the sea, and the strap is durable sailcloth.
