For the second consecutive year, TAG Heuer will be the principal partner of Les Diablerets International Alpine Film Festival (FIFAD), which will be held from August 5th to 12th 2017.

“4634 – Perception – The Mountain Within” embodies Géraldine Fasnacht’s dream of flight, with her new wingsuit. She leaps from the peak of the “Mont rose”, which culminates at 4634 m.  This 26-minute film is a poetic voyage that takes the viewer through this extraordinary woman’s life, from preparation to landing, including the take-off, flight and sensation of boundless gliding.

The second film, “Le Goût du Risque” follows Géraldine Fasnacht, Amaury Laverhne and Guillaume Néry, all champions in their respective fields – Freeride and wingsuit for Géraldine, bodyboard for Amaury and free diving for Guillaume. The film stresses the danger these athletes of the extreme encounter in their daily life. Regardless of the level of preparation the zero risk level doesn’t exist.

Both movies highlight the #DontCrackUnderPressure motto of TAG Heuer, a watch manufacture based in La Chaux-de-Fonds, the cradle of Swiss watchmaking, set at an altitude of over 1000 metres in the middle of mountains and Alpine pastures.
It is therefore FIFAD’s authentic approach to mountains portrayed through extraordinary human adventures, as well as its focus on films featuring backdrops and powerful encounters between people who come to share their passion, which naturally attracted TAG Heuer. Not to forget that the watchmaking company, run by Jean-Claude Biver, is passionate about all things Swiss, be it the mountains, traditions, values, expertise, heritage or the art of watchmaking.

During the Festival, a TAG Heuer activation zone will be installed, equipped with Oculus Rift headsets showing footage of Géraldine in Wingsuit, images of La Nuit de la Glisse and another movie with the history of the TAG Heuer Carrera. In addition, a BMC Racing Bike simulator will be installed in order to provide a BMC Racing Cycling experience.

A pop-up shop will also be installed for the occasion in cooperation with TAG Heuer’s partner, the Lionel Meylan Boutique, the highest boutique in French-speaking Switzerland, located at the top of Glacier 3000 in the Les Diablerets mountains.
