Originally introduced back in 2012 in rose gold, IWC’s Spitfire Perpetual Calendar Digital Date-Month Chronograph was given a makeover for 2015. Now sporting a 46 mm stainless steel case, the design — IWC’s only pilot to show the month and date digitally (via four big numerals) — sees a shiny anthracite dial with Arabic numerals, added dials for seconds, leap year, 12-hour and 60-minute registers and twin electronic date and month displays. As before, the bit is powered by a standard 89801 automatic movement — using 51 jewels plus a 68-hour power book — and comes complete with a sapphire crystal screw-down case back which highlights a Spitfire-shaped rotor.
The stainless steel edition of the Perpetual Calendar Digital Date-Month Chronograph is priced at $32,500 USD and is available now from IWC watches dealers.
