The Alpina brand, the specialists in Alpine-inspired watches, was founded in 1883. Some years after, in the 1920s, it established its first ladies’ set, in a movement that was way ahead of its time. The newest Alpiner Comtesse Sport Quartz now brings this daring marriage up to date with a contemporary spin on the watch. This fresh quartz collection completes the selection of automatic watches that was launched in 2015 and provides proven reliability at an exceptionally affordable price: beginning at 695 euros.
Its sporty lines, dependent on the Avalanche Extreme collection (2011), can currently be seen on three steel cases, each having a diameter of 36.5 mm. The very first version elicits the Alpine glaciers that supplied the inspiration for Alpina – a metal bracelet and bezel and a silver dial, indicator and hands, together with the striking red triangle of Alpina’s emblem recalling the summits of its Alpine roots.
The second model features the renowned blue Alpina colour. This colour way, shifting subtly between blue and turquoise based upon the light, is becoming interchangeable with the brandnew. It covers the bezel and the dial, contrasting perfectly with the white Arabic numerals and ensuring great legibility; a factor of paramount importance for sport watches.
The third version is the most revolutionary, using its black bracelet, dial and bezel. Let each woman decide for herself. Like previous versions, the markings on the dial are studded with 8 diamonds. Perfectly designed for ordinary life, the big luminescent hands and the calendar date at 6 o’clock add the finishing touches to the exceptional, subtle splendor of the Alpiner watches Comtesse Sport Quartz. The engraved steel case with its depiction of Alpine summits guarantees water resistance up to 60 m. Each timepiece is firmly finished with a flexible, durable steel bracelet to match the delicate or most adventurous of wrists.
